EPC code: SGTIN-96 is commonly used in the clothing industry to encode GTIN (product barcode) and serial number, achieving unique identification of "item level"
Those with GS1 membership can use the GS1 prefix to connect with retailers' systems; Self use closed-loop can also be customized, but it is recommended to leave expansion space
4、 A few real pitfalls when landing
Unstable reading distance: Within the same batch of clothes, cotton T-shirts and down jackets can have a reading distance difference of twice. When selecting, actual products should be used for testing, not labeled samples.
Metal and liquid: Clothes with metal zippers, sequins, metal wires, and fabrics with high moisture content all absorb waves. If necessary, use anti metal/anti liquid labels.
The labeling position should be consistent: hang the tags in the same position (such as hanging the collar uniformly), otherwise the reading rate of the channel door will fluctuate.
Cost: The unit price of UHF tags is about 0.1-0.5 yuan per piece (lower for larger quantities), but with the addition of readers, software, and integration, the overall investment is not small. First, calculate the ROI: the saved inventory labor, reduced out of stock losses, reduced theft losses, and whether it can be covered.
Cut it off and it becomes invalid: If customers buy and cut off the hang tag label, they lose the ability to trace the after-sales service. For items that require long-term traceability, such as high-end brands and rental clothing, a sewn in style should be used.
Privacy: The EU and other regions have notification requirements for RFID, and tags usually need to be printed with RFID identification. After being sold, it is recommended to perform invalidation processing (kill command).
